So, I'm a little early, but who doesn't look forward to winter festivities? - Stringing lights around your house, putting up your a tad-too-big tree, and jumbling together some sort of game plan when it comes to gifts. GIFTS! Ugh, my least favorite thing in the entire world is fighting my way through any store just to buy one stupid gift. SO... here's my plan - start my shopping now! Haha, I'm sure I'm not the brainiac who stumbled upon this idea, I'm sort of a late bloomer (to put it nicely). ;) I'm sure this will save me some time and some unnecessary stress! The next question is: What to buy? I thought I knew everyone in my life, I mean, I've known my mom for 20 years now and I have NO idea what to buy her... does this make me a terrible daughter? I'd like to think I'm the type of gal who floats through life just barely aware.
Though that doesn't mean I can't start my very own list in hopes that someone will read it and make my wildest dreams come true!
1. Pretty purple KitchenAid - For obvious reasons.
That's all I want, for now.

Fork in the road...
"Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too."
Never in my life has something held so much truth. The human tongue can cut like a knife, figuratively speaking of course. No matter how much you push through and keep a smile on your face, another persons' hateful words can suck all of the fight from you. The only advice I can give myself is to remember who I am and that no one knows me better than myself. Not one person is perfect, and those who think they are... well, they can suck a fat one. :)
Remember: Be careful who you decide to speak ugly words to.

Bucket list.
Here I am, conjuring a list of things I'd like to accomplish before I die -- seems a little dark, eh? Not in my eyes. I see it as motivation to accomplish tasks I normally would be too scared to try.
1. Try Sushi: The thought of eating raw fish grosses me out. Terribly. However, a lot of people seem to enjoy eating our friends with fins.
2. Travel abroad: When I say "abroad" I don't mean Hawaii. Send me to Africa to play with the elephants.
3. Ditch the 'Soda Diet': There's nothing I enjoy more than a glass of Dr. P with my sandwich, while my innards scream out in agony. Something tells me a glass of water will increase my longevity.
4. Open my own restaurant: I love to cook. What's better than profiting off of your passion?
5. Skydive: Weeeeeeeeeeee! -- Coming from someone who has acrophobia. Though I've heard nothing beats the feeling of flying.
6. Donate $1,000 to charity: After losing countless loved ones to cancer/diseases, I'd love to help someone who still has a fighting chance.
7. Tell someone off: Pretty self-explanatory. It may not be the greatest ambition, but hey, it works!
8. Write a book: I love writing just as much as I love cooking; nothing could compare to publishing my very own masterpiece.
9. Run a marathon: After successfully kicking my 'soda diet' and a million glasses of water later, MAYBE I can run a marathon. It would be absolutely gratifying.
10. Meet someone famous: Who doesn't want to shake Robin Williams' hand?
11. Read a Stephen King novel front-to-back: Haha, whether I'm successful or not, I'd love a good scare.
12. Rescue an animal: Though I have 2 dogs of my own, it's still a dream of mine to rescue an animal. I could never, ever fathom how a human can harm a defenseless animal. Gr!
13. Renewing vows <3 - I love my husband SO much! This may not happen for years to come, but I'd love to promise him forever again and again.
14. Be in NYC on New Years Eve: Dick Clark might not be around when this happens, dammit. But, what a beautiful, chaotic sight it would be!
15. Change the world: One blog post at a time. :)

Home is where the heart is.
I always seem to get a warm, fuzzy feeling each time I visit my mom, dad and brother. Maybe it's their endearing personality only I can love, or the sense of safety I feel at home again. I've been blessed with such an understanding mom and dad, and my brother is my best friend. It's funny how friends have come and gone in my life, yet I know I can always return home to find true friends. Now that I'm married and starting a family of my own (no children, dogs only ;) ) I've come to appreciate my family more. They used to embarrass the shit out of me, even drive me up the wall; but now, I laugh with them constantly.Thank God, wherever he may be, for all of the love and happiness in my life. <3 Amen!

Yikes! I did it - I made a Twitter account. Call me crazy, but I'm becoming fairly obsessed with social networking sites and blogging, of course. I don't know what's worse, owning an entire jar of Queso dip OR owning an entire jar of Queso dip whilst blogging and tweeting. You tell me. =)

Life's a beach.
On days like these, I'd rather be on the beach. Toes in the water, ass in the sand. <3
